San
Fernando Hill which is officially known as Naparima Hill is also fondly called
"The Hill" by many. This natural landmark is a 192-m hill which lies
at the centre of the city of San Fernando. Originally nearly dome-shaped with a
flattened top, the size was reduced by more than a third as a result of
unrestricted quarrying in the 1970s. The breath-taking view makes it a popular
destination for weddings and couples. If you're looking for a relaxing evening
then this is the spot for you. With the cool natural breeze and play-park it’s
a great location for a family trip or afternoon picnic. There are gazebos and
patios available for picnics or parties. If you're feeling truly adventurous
you can make the long trek up the hill.

Can't say the last time I 'picnicked' so thanks for reminding me that I can on San Fernando Hill. I can already feel the breeze on my face. Great place for a family gathering, everyone can relax and enjoy each other's company with some great food, snacks and drinks.
