Point-a-Pierre Wild Fowl Trust

Are you ready to enjoy nature?

We all know about Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Now get ready to experience Point-a-Pierre Wild Fowl Trust. This remarkable sanctuary is dedicated to environmental education and the conservation of wetlands and the waterfowl. It is a non-profit organisation which has been around for the past 50 years. It is located within Petrotrin and contains two lakes and a large spread. If you’re a nature lover then this is a must visit. Take a walk along the trail or visit the Learning Centre which houses a library, a small museum containing unique Amerindian artefacts, and a souvenir shop. You can witness a variety of endangered birds and other animals at this facility.

Have a meal while enjoying the natural surroundings on the patio or stay and relax in one of the guest rooms at Petrea Place which is also owned by the Trust.  This is not one of those walk in facilities so you must make a reservation in advance to experience all this wonderful place has to offer.

Trust me you won’t regret it.
